I've been looking for a replacement for a Sony NWZ-A816 that I dropped outside in the rain back in November. I got a cheap Sansa Fuze to use as a spare until after CES (which is now over). Boyfriend Help?!?!?!?!?

Ok, so I'm sitting with my boyfriend at lunch and I sit with he and his friends. Two of his friends are pushy, annoying, and obnoxious and another swears all of the time, but he does have non jerk friends. They told me with him sitting right beside me that he wanted to hold my hand. I honestly don't mind, I welcome the idea, and I kept my hands under the table and he kept his under the table too, but he didn't make a move and I don't think that the girl should make the first move. The conservatives on the radio say no and evidently a lot of people believe them. Reality is a lot different. 'Government' as such doesn't build factories and it doesn't deal in production and distribution, but it has a profound effect in job creation by stimulating demand for private industry to produce and distribute, and that production and distribution entails the need for workers. The National Defense Highway System under Eisenhower is my favorite example. Taxes were collected, mostly gas taxes, but there were other taxes as well. Private firms were hired and cash money was distributed. The Army Corp of Engineers drew up specifics. Private contractors went to work moving dirt. Tens of thousands of people were hired. Every tax dollar 'spent' was re-spent at least seven times. People miles removed from actual road construction were employed to keep track of materials. Lawyers, bankers, stock brokers and accountants went to work. Factories built heavy equipment....sub contractors, 'small business', were hired by 'big business'. Concrete was produced and shipped via newly invigorated trucking companies. Rail cars were built and manned. New trucks were ordered. Workers bought work clothes and steel toed shoes. Steel produced and delivered. Electrical equipment was manufactured and installed. Trash was hauled. Rivers were bridged. Towns sprang up. Business opened. All of the tax money that began this chain of events became salaries, savings, profits, investment capital and finally taxes. Anyone who says this didn't happen exactly that way is kidding you. Government takes little bits of cash, consolidates it into a mive pile of cash and transforms that into a power house economic activity. 'Government' ordered a mive number of computers right out of the gate...that industry is still with us because of this economic kick in the pants. Consolidating cash and spending it. Pretty much that's all government does, but it's a major part of the economy. Government money...the bits and pieces of dollars and cents that we call taxes gets spent, but it doesn't vanish into thin air, though without this influx of capital except for local economies the overall economy would disappear. The Space Program.....still going, though now as much private industry and money as government input. Even Homeland Security as redundant as it is spends billions buying, from private contractors...and ALL of that money gets re-spent time after time. 'Government workers', currently shat on by the right wing commentators spend their paychecks on the local economy. Currently we need more government spending...a mive 'Stimulus'...such as building up a solar and wind economy and building up a 21st century high speed freight and penger service....not to mention replacing much of our 50 to 100 year old infrastructure. Government tax money...private contractors. I'm sure some of the responders will totally misunderstand this....that's the power of bad information. Still....

Visitation and custody of unborn with unfit?

I posted on here before and got a lot of great responses. I was in a relationship, moved out at 7 months pregnant becuase of physical abuse. Because of having to go to the hospital from the abuse which was reported he is being charged with three felonies. One being child endangerment. Its a horrible situation as I think no person would want to go through this let alone a pregnant woman. I am worried about the visitation when my child comes out that the father is requesting. I don't see how anyone could do such a thing being that I am pregnant with his child yet it makes me think gosh what jeopardy could you put your child in when she is here. Its hard and hurtful but I am willing to go through this alone and am fully capable of this. The charges are in the DA's hands at this point and he has asked me to write a letter saying it didn't happen to save his . But I am not a liar and what make myself look like some idiot when I decided no it was wrong and don't need this bull ****!! My question is what are the chances of him getting some kind of custody or visitation rights having spousal abuse, child endagerment possible death injury and threat terrorism charges due to that night. I don't want to ruin anyones life but being a mother I feel as if it is defineltly my responsibility to no longer put my child in that situation. And I wont!!! And now I am the mean one right? Being pregnant hormonal and emotional is making this all the harder but its reality just need some kind of advice. I don't even know how to proceed. He would like to take it to trial which therefore I don't know if I have to testify which would make it all the worse. How do you do that to someone you love. Hi, I was using lead-free solder for a project and did not take the time to ventilate the fumes properly. This was done over the course of 3 weeks, and totaled to about 8 hours Regretfully. After the last day of using the solder for 2 hours straight, my breath smelled like the chemical fumes from the solder. Why dont Police Finger print?

2009-2010 Rookie Of The Year?

I would pick Tyreke Evans as the ROY for next season. This guy can play some hoops and can really defend the ball well. He average 17.1 ppg, 3.9 apg, 5.4 rpg, 2.1 spg. He lead his team to a 22 consecutive wins in college. He did improve his shooting ability in the draft work-outs. He is a combo guard and has the size, strength and versatility advantage, if he plays as a Point Guard in the NBA (and that is likely). I can see him and Kevin Martin go for a 35 wins next season. German is very easy to pronounce , it sounds just like it is written, so I would buy a teach yourself German book,Its the vocabulary and verb structure thats hard, you need to read it to learn that part.Tourist phrasebooks can be a good quick fix but you'll need a school type textbook, vocab and verb dictionary as well.

i always read people saying they cant play hockey at all and cant skate, shoot or stickhandle or score, i disagree i think they all can do these things but not as good as most NHL players but i would ume they have been skating and playing hockey since they could walk, and they are more skilled than the average amateur hockey player? i bet in practice they participate in the same drills that the most skilled player is in? i guess they cant play the game very well at the NHL level but they would problalbly play better in the AHL or ECHL lol

I had a dog who used to eat laying down and it turned out she had hip issues. I found out two days before she died that I should have known about the hip issues because of the way she layed down. My moms dog chews off her nails to the quick. Then is in pain because she chewed it all off. She came from puppymill rescue along with her sister. I need energy!?

It seems there are not enough hours in the day! I just started grad school, and I am tired all the time. I know I am sleep deprived - I REM as soon as I fall asleep (took a 10 minute nap this morning and dreamt). I've had my blood, and I am not iron deficient. Red Bull doesn't work, and neither does caffeine. On a related note, b/c of an unknown health condition, I'm pretty much restricted to water only (seeing a doc about that this week). But I'm not sure if it's b/c I don't exercise. But when I do, I feel tired, not energized. Should I change my diet? I just started taking Ginseng pills yesterday. I need to stay awake, but I feel really fatigued. Also, I would listen to rock music to stay awake, but that makes it hard to study, and I listen to rock a lot and can fall asleep to it now. Help!

Sharp pain in the right side of head? ct scan normal?

i am having sharp pains in the right side of my head and a general feeling of pressure in just ONE SPOT on my head. i am also having dizziness, dilated pupils, ringing in my ears, weakness and tingling in limbs, and auditory hallucinations. severe mental changes too and fatigue. went to the hospital and ct scan was normal. i think i might go to a neurologist. maybe get an mri? they ruled it a migraine, but this just feels different than anything else ive ever had. any ideas? experiences? i am really worried...

African Chiclid - Mating or hiding from fear?

I have 2 African Chiclids in a 42 gallon tank. They have been together for over 4 years. One is orange and one is black striped (bumblebee). All of a sudden the orange one, usually the aggressive one, is hiding in a castle and wont come out for almost a month. The black one is moving the rocks on the floor and turned darker. Did the striped one become the aggressor? Or is the orange one having babies? I can't figure them out.... need help.

My xbox live doesn't work right. Please help!?

Okay, so this is extremely frustrating. When I am up at college, I can play my xbox fine. I can play with anyone, anytime. When I am at home and bring my xbox home, I can't play with half of my friends. It keeps saying "can't connect. may be network problems" and I know it's because of my connection. I have a stupid Belkin Router, and I watched some youtube tutorial on how to open NATS. I enabled NATS and opened them. HOWEVER, after doing that, my xbox quit letting me connect to xboxlive. It kept saying change my MTU settings to 1364 or higher. Once again, I accessed my Belkin Router and it said my MTU setting was 1454. So I don't understand what the problem is. It's reallyyyyyy frustrating!

The hirer told me the salary over the phone which I thought was odd, and I asked if it was negotiable and she said "No, I'm sorry, salary is not negotiable." My roommate and I moved out of our old apartment on Saturday. While we had an appointment for a walk-through, when it came time, our property manager was "too busy" and she would do a walk-through later that day, Initially, her istant called us to say that everything was fine. However, she called back today to tell us that there were numerous cat urine stains and a strong smell of cat urine throughout the apartment, and since we hadn't registered or paid for a pet, they'd be fining us for that as well as for carpet cleaning. Here's the kicker - my roommate's allergies are so severe that it is physically impossible to have a pet of any kind - even being around someone with cat hair on their clothes is enough to send her into a severe allergic reaction. We have two allergists who have treated her and will attest to this, but we're not sure it'll be enough. I'm positive that we didn't leave any stains or odors behind - we cleaned the apartment top to bottom before leaving. Does anyone know how we can fight this obnoxious he-said-she-said situation? We didn't have so much as a pet rock, but one can't really prove the absence of something.

Maybe you could arrange a romantic evening for two and invite him. (You might want to give him a few days notice so he can arrange a sitter.) He needs to know what is going on. He can't fix it if he doesn't know. And if it offends him, you'll be better off knowing it sooner rather than later. I think you will get along fine, but you do need to make your needs known and don't feel guilty about having normal needs.
