How to replace battery cable on 86 buick somerset?

first slap your self for buying a pos..now stop crying and here's what you have to do..which cable is it the pos or neg...and don't forget to replace the ground cable as well..one cable is hooked up to the starter..I forget which one..and the other is to the alternator..and some where there's a ground in one of them two cables..disconnect the cables to the battery..safety first and find where the other end is and replace it...good luck ...
