Karen Capenter and Anorexia? Please Answer for my Health's sake?

I was just wondering how exactly Karen Carpenter died. She died from heart disease after recovering. But how many days or months or years. How long do you have to have an eating disorder to develop heart disease. How would you know you had heart disease without going to the docs. Are there symptoms precisely for people who have had Anorexia or Bulimia Nervosa? Because I had it but I eat well now. Please I am very worried. I feel as if one day myself I will just die out of nowhere due to heart disease. :(
