What MP3 Player should I get?

I've been looking for a replacement for a Sony NWZ-A816 that I dropped outside in the rain back in November. I got a cheap Sansa Fuze to use as a spare until after CES (which is now over). Nobody's released anything that interesting so I've narrowed my choices down to the 16GB Zune or 16GB Sony NWZ-A729. The Zune is about $50 dollars cheaper than the Sony but I know the Sony has excellent audio quality and doesn't require proprietary software.
