Should I adopt out the dog I inherited from a deceased friend? She is not taking to the family or our schedule?

I lost my friend tragically to suicide 6 months ago. She left me her 7 year old pom. She will not play with my children, fights with my 4 yr old dutch hound and barks all night long. She started off good then has regressed. She is dominating my other dog and does not listen to commands.
