What is the huge hype on BYB?

Let me get this straight BYB stands for Back Yard Breeders? Also people who breed hybrids such as Golden Labradors, Morkies, Maltipoos, Labradoodles, and other hybrids are considered BYB? Why is this such a bad thing.
