I live in West Philly (go to UPenn) and I need to buy a cheap bike. Any suggestions?

I don't need anything fancy (the more beat up or cheap, the better). I have looked on craigslist but it is overwhelming. Anyone know of a store that sells cheap used bikes (under 50) or cheap new ones? I've tried walmart which had ok ones, but before I buy there I thought I'd ask.
