Old question that many have seen before but I need some different answers.?

I always thought bananas or pineapple was supposed to stop them from eating their poop. I wanted to comment on the "lay down to eat" part. I had a dog who used to eat laying down and it turned out she had hip issues. I found out two days before she died that I should have known about the hip issues because of the way she layed down. She sat like that her whole life, and no vet ever said there was anything wrong with that, and I never knew there was anything wrong either. I wonder if you should have that checked out. May be a spine/ hip issue going on you are not aware of. Happy Easter.
