Still see fleas after front line application?

i have 3 cats. all have fleas. i applied front line plus 4 days ago but still see fleas. i was told to treat carpet with borax and wash cats with dish soap. i did that today. i left soap on for a couple of minutes then rinsed. does any one know if this should do it. any other remedies or advice
